Traffic
For all the days that are hard, long and difficult in Haiti for a variety of reasons - there has been a glimmer of change happening all around us lately. You see, for the last couple of weeks there has been LOTS of traffic going by the guesthouse gate. Like Route 16 traffic (for those MA'ers reading this). We have heard lots of horns honking - Mr. Brown doesn't quite know what to think - and vehicles of all sorts navigating the narrow stretch of road with a curve to it. Hopefully by now I have piqued your interest and you are asking why?? Road construction is happening all around us ... sidewalks! paved roads! drainage areas! It is amazing to see how much is going on. There are road crews digging and trucks coming/going. We are not sure why all this activity all of a sudden but are super thankful. The only wish we have is they would start one project at a time as it is a guess each day what roads are pass-able and which are not. However the big picture is a really good one and will hopefully mean a few less flat tires will be in store (though Top Tire did a great job today!!).
